Der Hammer trägt die Initialen FZ, was auf den Besitzer der Steinbrüche in Lüptitz, Friedrich Zachmann, hindeutet. Zachmann kaufte den Lüptitzer Steinbruch 1862 von der Gemeinde in Lüptitz ab. Der Hammer diente wohl als Eigentumsmarkierung für Holzteile.
