Die hohe zylindrische Apothekerdose aus Porzellan hat einen flach gewölbten Stülpdeckel. Sie trägt die schwarze Aufschrift auf weißem Grund "Ungt.Hydrarg.praec.alb. 10%" (Hydrargyrum praecipitatum album, weißes Quecksilberpräcipitat, Quecksilberamid-chlorid).

Die Quecksilberamid-chlorid-Salbe, das „weiße Präzipitat“ ist ein Arzneimittel bei Haut- u. Augenkrankheiten und dient auch zur Depigmentierung bei Sommersprossen. Es ist lichtempfindlich und giftig.
