Die zylindrische Apothekenflasche aus braunem Glas hat eine runde flache Schulter und einen kurzen Hals, in dem ein Schliffstopfen mit scheibenförmigen Abschluss sitzt. Das Glas trägt die schwarze Aufschrift auf weißem Grund "Sol. Arg. diacetylotann. prot. 1=10" (Argenti diacetylotannici proteinici-Lösung 1:10).

Die Rhinoguttae, lat. für Nasentropfen "Argenti diacetylotannici proteinici 1:10" ist eine Lösung mit Silbereiweiß und Acetyltannat. Silbereiweiß-Acetyltannat hemmt das Wachstum von Bakterien und wird deshalb p. o. bei Entzündungen der Nasenschleimhaut und Schnupfen eingesetzt.
