Beschreibung
Die zylindrische Apothekenflasche aus braunem Glas hat eine runde flache Schulter und einen kurzen Hals, in dem ein Schliffstopfen mit einem flach gewölbten Abschluss sitzt. Das Glas trägt die weiße Aufschrift auf schwarzem Grund „Homatropin. hydrobrom. (Homatropinhydrobromid). Das schwarze Etikett deutet auf eine giftige Substanz.
Bromwasserstoffsaures Homatropin ist ein stark giftiges weißes geruchloses Pulver, das in Wasser oder Weingeist gelöst werden kann und in geschlossenen Gefäßen aufbewahrt werden muss. Es diente in sehr niedrigen Dosen in der Augenheilkunde ähnlich dem Atropin.
