Description

Stoppzylinderdruckmaschinen wie diese revolutionierten ab 1812 das Drucken. Gedruckt wurde nun nicht mehr Fläche auf Fläche, sondern Zylinder (Druckbogen) auf Fläche (Druckform). Die Qualität der Drucke und die Druckgeschwindigkeit stiegen. Entwickelt haben dieses Prinzip Friedrich Koenig und Andreas Bauer, die 1817 in Würzburg die Schnellpressenfabrik Koenig & Bauer gründeten.
