Der obere Teil des Löschrollers für Tinte und die Seitenteile sind mit Perlmutterplättchen belegt, wobei einige Seitenplättchen einer Seeperlmuschelart (Pinctada) entstammen dürften. Die Unterseite ist mit Löschpapier bezogen. Der Griff ist aus einem Perlmutterimitat gefertigt.
