Das kleines Schiff, dessen zwei Segel, Bootskörper und Fuß aus Muschelschalen gefertigt sind, diente als Halter für einen Fingerhut. Eines der beiden Segel trägt die Aufschrift "Bad Elster", das andere ist mit Blumen bemalt. Die Halterung für den Fingerhut besteht aus Kork. Vermutlich handelt es sich um ein sehr frühes Erzeugnis aus Adorfer Produktion. Solche Souvenire wurden im benachbarten Kurort Bad Elster verkauft und erfreuten sich großer Beliebtheit.
