Nach 1945 fertigten Frauen in einer Nieskyer Strohfabrik dieses Paar Schuhe an. Dabei wurde das Stroh angefeuchtet und daraus Zöpfe geflochten und dann in Form gebracht. Anschließend wurden mehrere dieser Strohzöpfe zusammen genäht. Die Schuhgröße beträgt etwa Größe 40. Laut Literaturnachweis befand sich die Produktionsstätte nach 1945 (bis max.1950) von "Bruder Hilbigs Strohschuhfabrik" im Saal des CVJM in der "Herberge zur Heimat" an der Muskauer Straße. Ein Gründungsdatum dieser Firma ist bisher nicht bekannt.
